It´s important to be optimistic and think that the bad things that happen to us now we can use it in the future for our benefit.

Evil Dead: Army of Darkness
My last work, a miniature of Hassleefree company, inspired in Ash, the hero of the movie Evil Dead. I wanted to represent the scene when Ash go up of the well in the third film of the saga: Army of Darkness. I hope you like it!

Favole
This morning I received the last artbook I bought. It is the complete edition of Favole, by Victoria Francés.
This book contains the three original volumes of Favole, the best important work of Victoria Francés, in one hardcover volume presented in a collection box.
I loved the design, because I think it´s very carefully and elegant. It contains 248 pages, almost double that the original trilogy, and includes new material as sketches, short stories and poems.
I've always liked the illustrations and the style of Victoria Francés, and i could not miss the opportunity to have this volume, which I find really good and with a great price.
I leave you some pictures that includes the book and the official presentation video.

Robbery in the farm
This was my last work, and my first historical.
I wanted to do something different from the typical pirate scene on the beach or on the boat, and soon came the idea to document myself a bit of life that did the pirates and privateers. Their diet was based on cookies, smoked or salted meat, raisins, figs, cheeses. When they could fish, incorporate fish into your diet, which was a bit more varied.

With this scene I wanted to be a pirate who is on his way to his boat again after returning from an area farm to steal a goat to take his boat back, as will give him and his crew fresh meat and milk for a change their diet at least for a while.
Sometimes animals brought on board, who are sacrificed during the trip, to provide fresh meat. The hens were highly prized, because they provided fresh eggs all the way. Chronicle Fuengirola 2012 (II)
Next day, as we had to leave the room before 10am, we woke up at 9am for breakfast, pick up everything and put it in the car. We went to the swimming pool to relax until 12pm or so, when we planned to go to the contest (the awards were at 13h).
About 10.30am, being in the pool, Adri got a call from our friend Javier Molina (Dragonsland) for to have coffee together, and we told him we were still in the hotel. Then he told us that they were already posted the awards, but he was not going to say anything to us.
This news left us with lots of curiosity, I biting my nails all the time and Adri still thinking about it. Result? At 11.15 we were in the Palacio de la Paz.
While Adri and Javi drank coffee, I went to see the works, and that was when I was pleasantly surprised to see that Adri, Peter and I had won a award.
Adri won gold in historic scene with his "Cornered", gorgeous, and I told him he would win the gold with it, because the idea is great, and as base as painting are very very good, and then he has done in a short time, so I was happy to win for him.
Pedro won silver with "Defying to Rome" in historical, also very cool figure, and which I think he has improved a lot compared to his previous works, which is most important.
I won bronze with "Boromir" in less than 40mm fantasy, gold with "Tau Firewarrior" in fantasy up to 54mm, and silver with my last work in historic, "Robbery in the Farm" (I will post photos soon).
So I announced it to Adri, and we met there with Pedro and Carmen. We were to meet bloggers friends as Jesus Martin of Historic Art, Roberto of Scale 75, Mario of Game Forces or Kombo, and we enjoyed a fantastic awards ceremony. The organization here was great, because despite many awards and works, the delivery was very quick and pleasant, with the projected image of each work with the title, category, and award.
The place of the event is great, spacious, with a comfortable temperature, and a large open area in the entrance for to park easily. As things improve, as is customary in many contests, lighting (although I know that this year is much improved over previous years) and to have more stores on the enclosure, becasuse there were only three, very small and with very little material.
In conclusion, it was a very good weekend and I hope to repeat next year, which also coincides with the twentieth anniversary of the competition and seems to be more workshops and surprises.
Here some photos of the event (about dioramas, vehicles and tanks, planes and boats I have no photos, sorry):
